Tor Internship Comes to a Close
All good things must come to an end as they say, and this was no exception. As of August 14th, my internship with the Tor Project has officially come to a close.
The feeling is bittersweet; while I enjoyed every single moment I spent on my work and cherish the new friends I've made, I'm also looking forward to begin exploring what's beyond the new door that has opened before me.
Mixnets are my deepest love as some may know, and many years ago, Tor was the entity that introduced me to them. When I stumbled onto the blog post in February announcing the beginning of the internship application period, I'd never have imagined in a thousand years what the choice to participate would ultimately entail for me; the knowledge I'd gain, the personal growth I'd achieve or the amazing people I'd meet along the way. Words could not express how grateful I am for the ability to show [if to no one else, myself] what I am capable of when I set my heart to something.
Once more I would like to thank Phoul, t0mmy, the community team folks and everyone else at the project from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity, as well as constantly being ample sources of warmhearted support and advice every step of the way. It was an experience that I will carry with me for the rest of my days, and I look forward continuing to assist the project however I can. ♡
Now, a small recap: All said and done, I committed roughly 130 contributions over the past few months, including 22 completely rewritten documents and several manual revisions. Needless to say, a lot of TLC went into all this work, and I deeply hope that it is of benefit to both the project and users in the future. A [admittedly couple weeks behind] changelog is as always available at tor.dial.ga, and will continue to be updated.
Thanks again Tor fam, and see you in IRC!
